When I heard Bruckheimer and Schumacher I was worried, but fair play, they cast mostly real Irish actors to play Irish people and made a decent movie. And Cate Blanchett is superb, her likeness is very close with a very good stab at the accent and mannerisms. The subject was also handled with a level of sensitivity that was well judged.
Not a classic but a lot better than I was expecting. Lets hope Ireland continues to be portrayed realistically in future movies.
(yeah right)

One of my work colleagues saw it a couple of days ago - said it was very good. It was followed by an interview/Q+A session with Schumacher and Blanchett (he said good accent from her too).
